Nothing For You Today

I'm sorry to be the bummer of all bummer bloggers, but I have nothing for you today. As you might have noticed, I did not post last night because I was dealing with a stomach issue which has persisted until today. We did go see Anelya this morning and she was lovely, but I didn't have the strength to hold her much, so Mom did most of the work.

We did have a moment I want to tell you about though. I have started a game when I do three big snorts. On the third snort she gets a kiss. She has her huge dimpled smile when I do this and now when I go in for the third snort, she leans in with her little open mouth for a kiss. She just LOVES this game. I can't wait to play it more when I feel better. I fed her her breakfast. It was fine, but I didn't have much cooing in me, just business and a few "Good jobs".

This afternoon we will skip the baby house visit. I just don't have it in me and I am pretty green right now. I was able to keep down some bread and Sprite, so that's good. I am taking the Cipro I brought with me and some L-Glutamine to fix whatever damage has been done to my digestive track. Don't worry about me, I am equipped with everything and have spoken to my friend/boss/doctor, Steve, who is walking me through it too.

Mom is staying here and doing laundry and keeping an eye on me. I have been close to passing out a couple of times. Now I am just in bed. I told Pasha and Veronika I have a headache because I don't want them to take me for "some medical attention". Oh Lord. Are you kidding? I saw them put those goggles on the babies and then shove the ultraviolet lava lamp up the babies' noses this morning. Who knows what they do to grown ups!

We have our Semey-Almaty tickets on September 4 and I have now sent the request to have our return tickets to Boston changed to September 5. Here's to hoping there is space! If I feel better later, maybe I will post pictures from yesterday afternoon.

Andrea, sorry all the activity and "bread" and diet have caught up with you and made you ill. Glad you went equipped to "doc" yourself and that Steve is helping you through it. Also, Bubba is there to help out. Prayers for your quick and speedy return to full health. Anelya's big dimple smile will help with that!

Awwww!!! Feel better Baby!!! Get some rest, and hang in there!! Love ya! Just think, this is your body's natural way of taking off the potato weight you put on while there!! ;) Painful, yet efficient!!

Oh I hope you do feel better. It is just the pits that you are under the weather. I will send good thoughts.

I LOVE it that you are taking L-Glutamine. I am a believer in it.

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
