Last Official Day of Bonding

One more visit this afternoon and we are officially done with bonding. Thank goodness. Anelya was not too physically active this morning, but we will see what she has in store for us this afternoon. Her breathing is still iffy, but she didn't cough as much as yesterday. When they gave her to me this morning she had a big red spot on her forehead and a pacifier. I guess she must have clocked herself in her crib because I have never seen her or any of the babies with a pacifier before.

If you can see beyond this smile, here's the red spot on her head.
She seemed fine and I didn't ask because, again, the babies were screaming bloody murder this morning. First the little ones were just losing it and then while they were being fed, the bigger babies (6-12 mos) were being fed. Anelya didn't even blink. I think she will be fine with the shenanigans of Gunnar and Brody.

As usual, the friendly nurse came in and dumped, squirted and sprayed various things into their mouths and noses. I got a picture. AM I RIGHT OR WHAT? You can also see her in the video I post of Anelya shaking her head No! No! No!

I took some pictures of the baby group's playroom for you.
This is the playpen where Anelya was until this week.
Now she is amongst the bigger babies so she goes in the playpen in the next picture.
Behind the glass door in the photo is the sleeping quarters,
where they each have their own crib for sleeping.

Anelya gave me very little attitude with breakfast today and ate the whole thing without spitting it at me or screaming. We had a nice morning with her, nothing too special to report about. Just the usual stacking cups, jumping, etc. Groundhog Day. I can't wait to take her for a walk in her stroller and introduce her to new things at home.
After the visit we went back one last time to the traditional souvenirs store and just bought everything we wanted. We are so sick of looking for things now that we didn't care if they were a little more expensive. You get kind of wrapped up in the Tenge game of here (Tenge is their currency) and sometimes walk away if someone won't go down $0.50. You know that is not like me, but we've gotten all wrapped up in it. No more. I bought several things to give Anelya on her Gotcha Day every year and bought Mom a thank you doll for coming with me.
Bob is really not feeling well and he thinks it may be because he bought a new shaving cream which he is sensitive to the smell. He is very sensitive to smells and so they started smelling new shaving creams with the help of the sales lady. Then, Bob took things into his own hands and tried to smell the last one and squirted it all over himself, Tammy and the floor. The sales lady didn't care. We had just dropped 20,000 Tenge in there. Too funny.

Back to the hotel, still no Igor, and took a nap. Now we are getting ready for visit number two and then............. BOWLING! Yes, this should be fun. Mom tried to get out of it yesterday, so they rescheduled it for today because they want her to come. HAHAHA. Pics to come, for sure!

Bowling woo hoo. Have fun and hopefully you have not done too many vodka shots.

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
