Croup and Preparing for Court

It turns out that Anelya has croup, which would explain why her cough is so atrocious. The caregivers are watching her like a hawk and she is very happy and playful, so I think it will be ok. She was asleep when I first got there, so I told them I would come back in fifteen minutes. When I came back, she was awake and crying in her crib. She has the most peculiar little cry. It's very quiet and raspy. We've been calling her Baby Bacall. She was all smiles when she saw me and they got her dressed and gave her to me. As we were about to leaves, a nurse came in a squirted something in her mouth then held her nose and made her swallow it.

Surprisingly, they asked me to take her for a walk. They said it was very cold upstairs and warm outside. Huh? I really think they just say whatever they feel like saying. We had a nice walk, three laps around the baby house and then Yeena stucj her head out and told me to bring her in to eat.

Not the most flattering picture, but a picture no less!
As you can see, I got to feed Anelya again today, although she really wasn't hungry. She got about a half a cup down and then was done. It was then time to leave her and head to the Fuji Store to print my final photos for the court album. We bought lunch at the bakery and then invited Tammy, Bob, and Sarah to come back to the hotel to have lunch and use the wireless internet.

We are still on our lunch break and have all used this time to finish our albums. I have to submit an album with a page for eah day of bonding. On each page I have pasted a picture, along with a description of what we did during that day. Mom decorated the pages and Veronika will translate what I have written below my handwriting.
We have been informed that Olga will prepare us for court tomorrow. I don't know if this means that we will get a court date sooner than we had hoped or if she's just very organized right now. We do know that she will apply for our court date on Tuesday. And so, we gear up for the next wave of adoption excitement. Court. Please start praying again for a continued smooth process!

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
