Visas Issued!

I got a call on my cell phone this morning from the Consulate of Kazakhstan in New York, confirming that they have issued our visas with a start date October 3! This does not mean that we will travel next weekend - that will all depend on when Anelya's passport has been issued. However, it feels so exciting to know that I will have our new visas in my hands on Monday and that my life with Anelya will officially begin in the next two weeks. It cannot come fast enough, I promise.

I only have a few more things to prepare before she comes home. This weekend I will take lots of pics of the transformation of the house. I do want to wait for the rug to arrive before I take pics of the nursery though.

I admit it, my patience is running thin now. I have been soooo good this whole time, but today was the first day i really felt like UGH, I need some news. I need a date. I know I will get a date within the next week though, so I am sitting tight. So, that's the update.

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
