Still No Dates

Hello blog stalkers! Still no dates to report yet, but I am anticipating some news today or tomorrow. I'm getting those "they're talking about me" vibes again. I expect that we will travel next Wednesday or Friday, but that is totally a guess on my part.

I spent the weekend continuing to prepare for Anelya's arrival. I finally ordered the glider I have been eyeing. I also ended up getting 25% off by smart planning, so that is awesome. Now I am awaiting the arrival of her stroller, rug, and glider. Ok, I confess. I ordered the stroller. Like two weeks ago. I know the poll is still going on, but I totally wanted the red one so I broke down and ordered it. I am super excited for it's arrival. I know Anelya will LOVE it!

Last night I was up late, positioning the video monitor, getting the wipe warmer set up and arranging her clothes in the closet by size. Boy, that took some time! I have now put out her current size in the closet so I can see everything and choose what she will wear quickly. Bigger sizes are tucked away, organized according to size, in the big bureau.

The only thing I am wondering about is how those you who brought home adopted babies did with your dogs. I don't have anywhere for them to be the first few days, so she will just come into the house with my two boys, who are very sweet, but jump a lot. Any advice on how to deal would be appreciated. They have been busy smelling her hats and baby blanket since I got back and they seem to know that something is happening. They know the toys and baby stuff in the living room are not for them. I will be interested to see how they do. I just don't want her to be scared to death, although I suspect that may be the case at first. Please let me know how your dog introductions went and what kind of personality your dogs have in general. Mine are super energetic, but very sweet.

I will obviously post again when I get more news.

looks like you'll be traveling in no time! That is wonderful news.
AND I am glad you got the red stroller. It really is ideal.

As for the dogs issue, if you can get a doll that cries, and can use it before you leave, it will help. And perhaps have your dad or mom carry Aneyla into the house so you can greet the dogs first, calm them, and then introduce everyone. She'll be fine. I am not sure if you know Susan Serra, but if not let me or Sandi know and we'll introduce you. Her Leeza and dog Miles are best-best-best buddies now so she sure did something right!
