Missing My Baby

I have now been home for nine days and home sick for all but one of them. I am going stir crazy and REALLY missing Anelya now. It's strange, on the one hand I am glad she is not here while I am so sick. On the other hand, I just want my baby to be here with me no matter what.
Life continues to be a ride full of unexpected turns. Meeting and falling in love with my baby, only to have to leave her is one of them. Luckily, it doesn't really feel painful, just weird. The appeals period will be over this Friday and then I can really exhale and relax, get ready for trip #2 and Anelya's homecoming.

I wanted to post a group picture of all of the adoptive families from the evening before court, when we were celebrating two of the families' successful court outcomes. It's a nice picture of our four Semey families and our two translators, Veronika and Helen, and of course, Pasha.

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
