Dossier Out of Translation!

I just found out that my dossier is now translated and is back in the hands of my agency! This is very exciting and another fun step to check off on my list Woohoo! I knew in my heart that it was finished, but hadn't received confirmation from my agency, but that just came today! So, all we are waiting for is for the Consulate to confirm that they are accepting dossiers again! That should be by the end of the month at the very latest.

While delays are excruciating, I want to commend the officials of Kazakhstan for making efforts toward improving their process in the interest of the children. I am so sorry that many families were not grandfathered in and were unfairly expelled from the process, but looking forward, I think updating the process and streamlining the rules is a good move. This was the first of what may well be several delays, but timing has been on my side this time around and I am thankful.

Now for the radio show. I know you are all chomping at the bit to hear me flaps my gums on the radio show. It aired this morning and the response I have received from my (very biased) audience is that it was spectacular. LOL. It turns out that my (still most excellent very favorite) boss is a computer whiz and is currently working on making the audio file into a movie file for me so I can put it on Youtube and then link it to the blog. Sheesh. I need a nap after that sentence. He vowed to give me a disc by the time I leave work today. Go Steve!

can't wait to hear the radio show....

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
