SOS Clinic

I never made it to the wifi cafe today, so I will give you a brief update of the day from my Blackberry and then I will go tomorrow to the wifi to upload the entry I am writing tonight.

Anelya is a dream. She eats well (I mean the kid eats more than I do, seriously)n she sleeps well, and she is basically the easiest baby ever.

Anelya woke up at 5a.m. For her bottle, as I put her down at 6:sd last night because she didn't take any naps yesterday. I guess everything is just so new. So I got up and fed her her bottle and Dad was nice enough to stay awake with her since I had been awake from 10-2 after giving her a bottle and putting her back to bed. She slept fine. I was awake thinking holy moly, that baby in the next room is mine! It's such a cool feeling that I just cannot sleep.

Our day consisted of two major activities: the Tsum shopping center and the SOS medical visit. I will say that everything went swimmimgly and Anelya is perfect. Details tomorrow on the blog with pics.

So happy to have Tammy here. It wouldn't be the same without her. We are operating like a little village here and it's really just delightful. Mary Lou joined us today with her adorable 3 year old daughter, Meleea. She was also in Semey with us the entire time during trip 1.

It's 8 something in the evening here and Anelya is fast asleep and Dad is about to be, so I will leave you now to write the real entry. Just know the we are all fine (Bob-Tammy and Kalamkas are fine too and now rebooked to return on Sunday) and Anelya is just the happiest, most easy-going baby ever.

Wow - I am SO happy that things are going so well. There have been more than a few kids that decided to meltdown during the Almaty transition (Miras too!). And great that you have company. We really enjoyed meeting up with the other families passing through Almaty too. The photos are just precious... Anelya really is just too cute!

fantastic. You are really having a dream experience. Now promise me and more importantly yourself, that you will not worry/get upset if and when Aneyla acts out. Even with the easiest babies there will be moments and it will be normal!

Woo Hoo, although I never doubted she would be a dream for you. She knows :-) can't wait to read a real update with photos, am dying over here. Happy to read that Tammy is coming home a little sooner, still bummed not with you :-( Miss you xoxox

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
