Today we had an adventure! I joined a Meetups.com group called "Lakes Region Mamas", which has all kinds of activities every week for mommies and their kiddos. Today we drove to the other side of the lake to Sanbornton, about 50 minutes away, to enjoy a farm style breakfast at 11a.m. This was our first real activity as Mommy and Anelya, so it was super fun. Baba came along with us and we really had a wonderful morning with my friend Heidi, who went to my school in Providence and whom I have not seen for about 25 years, and Steve, Lenore and Spencer. I am pretty sure these blog stalkers, ahem friends, will be thrilled to be included in the blog!
Heidi and her adorable (and very FAST!) son, Oliver
Lenore, Spencer, and Steve
Anelya loved her first blueberry pancake, which she ate half of (it was HUGE!). She also had some cottage cheese and pureed peaches which I brought her, along with a juice I made for her out of elderberry glycerite and water. Gotta start that bacteria fighting now, as she begins daycare tomorrow.
Ok, so I am beaming and Anelya no longer stops for photos!
Now Anelya sings, dances and says "Nam, nam, nam" all through her meals. She is one happy little monkey!
Approaching the petting zoo, which is really an opportunity to feed the animals. There was a cow, some goats, sheep, chickens, a huge pig, and a limping quail.
Heidi and I posed for a photo to send to our school, Lincoln School for girls, in Providence. Too bad Anelya is eating her carrier, my eyes are closed, Ollie looks angry and Heidi looks AWESOME! Ok, so we scored a 25%.

Anelya and I are all set in a happy routine now. I'm sure daycare will shake that up a bit, but I am very aware that Anleya is attaching hard to me and that we are so happy together. Ok, I'm going to say it: I've never been so happy and fulfilled in my life. This baby rocks. She's everything i ever dreamed of and more. Yes, I now live in a sea of blissful cliches.

Good luck with daycare tomorrow! I'm sure she'll do great. I love reading your posts. I am so impressed you still manage to do it daily. I can't wait to meet Anelya!! She is priceless!
Andrea, Thank you for continuing to post - not sure where or when you get the energy, but sure appreciate it. Anelya is just a beautiful baby - so happy and joyful. About the baby monitor - shut if OFF. It amplifies things so much you will never sleep. If she were a few weeks old I would say ok, but you will be sleeping in "mommy mode" with one ear tuned all the time, and she is old enough that she will holler out for you. (Those are words from an older, wiser woman who tried it).
Hope your first day back at work and Anelya's first day at "school" were great.
Thanks for the constant updates.
Donnamarie
