Well, it's 7a.m. and I am leaving to bring the baby home today! I cannot tell you how excited I am. My stomach is a mess from the swarms of butterflies. The house is ready. Pierre is here to dog sit. Bags are packed. Ride has been arranged. We're all set.
FINALLY! Thank all of you for your support and interest in my journey to Anelya. We will be in Semey until Sunday, so I will have good internet access until then. Afterward, we will be staying at the Hotel Alma Ata in Almaty. I am not sure what computer access is like there, but you can bet we'll get on it right away. If it's not good, I have been to a cafe 2 blocks away with free wi-fi, so don't worry. There will be updates!
By the time you go to bed in the U.S. on Friday, we will be waiting to board our final flight to Semey, which should be leaving around 1a.m. your time Friday morning. By the time you wake up on Friday, I will have been reunited with Anelya, a moment I have imagined in my mind a thousand times a minute for 8 weeks.
This is the trip I have been waiting for my whole life and especially the last two years.
Now LET'S BRING THIS BABY HOME!
