Dossier Officially in Translation!

I just found out that my dossier was officially approved by LMI and has been sent for translation! I am told that during the next 4-6 weeks it will be translated, reviewed and copied before being sent to the Consulate. There is some noise circulating on the adoption boards that the Consulate may stop accepting dossiers and the DC Embassy will then be the only office going through them. People are worried about this slowing down and complicating the process. I am choosing not think too much about it until I have facts from LMI. I did have a brief and satisfying conversation with my coordinator who acknowledged the "noise" but said that they have not yet seen any difference in the current processing of dossiers. So, my dossier may just make it past the September 15 date which is the rumored start for the process changes.

So everyone, I really need you to continue supporting me by generating positive thoughts for the adoption. It's done wonders for my process so far, and I know it will continue to! Thank you!

I was so happy when our dossier went into translation. I really felt like we were making progress at that point. Hope your translation goes quickly and you can get the dossier into the NY Consulate.

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
