A Wee Bit of News

As you know, my FedEx stalking days are complete and will only resurface again in small doses throughout the process. So, I have gone to combing the internet looking for breaking news from Kazakh Officials regarding adopting. Today, on www.kazakhadopivefamilies.com I found some new information. It seems that Kaz has indicated that they will release a list of acceptable agencies whom the will work with on October 1, 2008. Once this list has been published, those agencies are free to submit TWO dossiers per month. This is a VERY low number, I think. Before there was no limit.

I have e-mailed my coordinator asking her to confirm this. I have also asked how many LMI families are currently in translation. I am obviously interested in where I am in this "line to the Consulate", if there is one. If you are an LMI family in translation, would you please leave a comment or send me an e-mail? Also, if any of you know more than I do about this latest development and have any good web links, please let me know!

Cheers!

Hi Rose!

http://www.kazakhadoptivefamilies.com/adopt1.html#dossier

It's on the pre-adoption page under dossier. I have an update that I will post now. Where is your dossier right now?

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
