As you know, I am waiting for the latest "big day", September 15, when there will supposedly be some kind of update regarding whether or not the Consulate will be accepting dossiers still or if they will all have to go through the dreaded Embassy, which supposedly takes much longer to be processed. Whatever happens, I know this is how my process is supposed to go and I will roll with it.
That is not to say I will sit idly and do nothing. No, no. In fact, today I decided to "have at it" and start redecorating. With all of the uncertainty that is surrounding Kazakhstan adoption right now, I'm not quite ready to redecorate the baby's room, but today I started to prime the downstairs office which I will later paint the same color that the baby's room is now. You were all introduced to Erik this summer (my little brother from Sweden). He was having a bit of a hard time with the fact that his room will soon become Lily's and asked if we could make the downstairs bedroom look like the upstairs one does now. Awwwww. Of course we can. I think it's a brilliant idea and so today I primed one wall. Then I realized that I can't do much more without moving all of the furniture out. SOOOO, I decided I should just wait until Dad gets back form vacation LOL. I need some input, a dolly, and a strong man. Since I am still tragically single (tongue in cheek), my main man & furniture mover continues to be my dad. Poor Dad.
As soon as I feel motivated I will take some pictures of the mayhem and post them. Right now things are just too cozy with a snoring French Bulldog by my side and a crate-stealing Puggle who has decided he is going to sleep in Gunnar's crate until I put them to bed. That's all for now!

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.

I totally understand about the waiting... it's tough!!! Hang in there though.. it'll be worth it!!!
Have a great day!
Hey Andrea,
Great update. The wait will definitely bring good days and frustrating days, but as everyone will tell you it will be so worth it.
Great idea on the remodeling, I am getting ready to binge and purge the house to get ready for a yard sale and just clean the clutter out of the house.
