Small town livin'!
Yesterday I was asked by the local radio station to do a 15 minute of their "Talk of the Town" show to discuss my decision to adopt and the adoption process. I get such a kick out of this. My mother, who also lives in this town, and I may also do another show when we get back from the first trip. TOO FUNNY.
Ok so here'e where things are.... on hold. I spoke with my coordinator who basically told me what I already know. The 15th wasn't when they would start accepting dossiers again, but rather when they would start to assess how adoption dossiers are processed in the Consulate/Embassy and what changes will be made. So, what we are being told is that they may start accepting dossiers again at anytime. Could be tomorrow, will more likely be in a few weeks or more.
Translation take up to six weeks, but I have seen from other timelines that it takes 2-4 weeks when things are moving nicely. So, hopefully in a a couple of weeks they will accept dossiers again and mine will be ready! Here's to hopin'

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.

"Ahh, I see something in my crystal ball. Can it be Andrea's professional future? Talk radio?" :)
Sounds really fun Andrea - are they on the web so your swedish family can listen?
