Off the boards I have been able to put some pieces together. It seems that October 1 will be the day that the list of "acceptable" agencies will be released. I certainly expect LMI to be on that list. At that point, the agencies on that list will be able to submit a certain number of dossiers per month, depending on the size of the agency. LMI is on of the two largest agencies in Kaz and it is rumored that they will be granted 6-8 dossier submissions per month. In addition to that, if the number of dossiers received in total is less than the total number permitted, the larger agencies will be allowed to sumbit their dossiers until the target number is met. I was also told that these regulations are coming from the Embassy itself and not the Kazakh government. This is in their effort to streamline and organize the process. While it's rough for though of us who are mid-process, I believe this can only be in the best interest of Kazakh children in the long run. The more routine, the better. In the long run it will make the process run more smoothly for all involved.
I just want to say that this information DID NOT come from my agency, but rather from various PAPs who confirmed each other's information. I have asked for confirmation from my agency about the accuracy of this information. We must always remember that there is major change going on in Kazakh adoption and anything can happen, really. So, until the official word is released on October 1, we won't know for sure, but this is what I know so far. I am still trying to find out where I stand in the translation pack.
This is good news! Any kind of news is good news! So, keep praying and hopefully we will get this dossier show on the road! Ok bedtime!

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
