OK people - we have movement again

FINALLY!!!!  My homestudy is now complete and has been submitted to my international agency for review. This is exciting because any required revisions are expected to be minor and should be done within a week. So, next step is the dossier and submitting the homestudy to USCIS to complete the Immigration aspect of my application. Once USCIS receives my approved homestudy, they will review my case and hopefully issue the I-171H Visa

So, the next couple of weeks should involve me furiously running around and getting things notarized. Then I will send the entire collection of compiled paperwork (more on that later) to LMI who will then arrange to have each page apostilled by the Secretary of State from which the document originates. I am very happy that i do not have to go through this hassle, which causes many headaches according to other adoptive parents I am in contact with.

I will let you know when something new happens. I will soon be locking this blog down with password. I'll send out an email with the password so you can access it! Thanks for reading!

Congrats, how exciting. Hopefully UCICS in NH will move fast.

Good luck getting your other documents, it really is not as bad as it appears, just time consuming :)

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
