We are both healthy now and Anelya has been to the pediatrician. Turns out, she's a big kid :-) 21lbs and 28 inches. He thinks she will end up being tall, as she is short for her age, but teething very late, so he said that she will probably go through puberty late (THANK GOD) and will then sprout up while her friends have finished growing. He also confirmed that he does not agree with the slew of health conditions I was presented with in Kazakhstan. The kiddo is FINE, as we all knew.Right now Anelya looks like she's a gang member or something. She can get around VERY quickly now and is pulling up on anything and everything to stand up. She is able to stand for several seconds and it is just a matter of days before she will take her first steps, I suspect. However, all of this movement and activity increases the amounts of spills she is taking. Right now she has a huge bruise on her left cheek and looks like she got in a fight. She got two vaccinations (one in each thigh) and SCREAMED for a chunk of time. It was a bad day.
I am back on the dating scene again. I had lunch with a guy on Monday and, while there was ZERO chemistry on my end, I was proud of myself for putting myself out there again. Dating at this age is brutal, but being a mom has really taken a lot of pressure off me. There is no part of me whatsoever which is willing to settle for anything less than the very best. I have found that I am making no excuses, just calling it like it is and if it isn't right, move on. This is refreshing. of course, Anelya will not be involved in my dating life, if you were wondering. My mother was nice enough to watch her for this lunch date and I have other people who will do the same should I ever decide to go on another date again. HAHAHA.
