New Month, New Me

Well thank GOODNESS it's June, so I can put the icky month of May 2009 behind me. I am feeling really good now and the weather is becoming more like summer. I firmed up my plans this morning to take golf lessons. I start on Monday. I have wanted to do this for years, so I am really looking forward to it.

I sat in once more on the "Escort Call", as bad as it sounds, it's not what you think it is. HAHA. The call is an informational conference call about using an escort to bring your baby home after the adoption is complete. At first I had thought I would do this, then I decided I would make the second trip. After last night's call, I can confirm that my plans are to return to Kazakhstan to pick my baby up after the 4-6 weeks it takes to process papers once I have left Kazakhstan after the first trip. I figure, with all of the miles I am accumulating, Lily and I can go on tour once she's settled in. I am thinking ANYWHERE THERE IS A BEACH.

So, as you can tell, I am feeling much better. the wait is still tough and I wish I had some idea of when I will go, even if it's later this year. It would just be nice to have an idea. However, this is not how the process works and so I will continue to update my paperwork and prepare for the baby, while working on my currently non-existent golf swing.

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
