The Transformation

Today is my first day of vacation and I am ready to start the big transformation. Here is the plan. The downstairs office, which is now full of every bit of imaginable junk, will be gutted today. There will be major purging involved and a very large donation of stuff to be made to local charities. Tomorrow, Dad and I will prime the office and then the next day paint it a shade of deep red. Once the painting is done in there, we will prime the baby's room and start painting. I am actually thinking it will be yellow or green. For the past several months, I have thought I would paint each wall a different color, but as I write this, I am deciding that, no, I think I want it to be one color and either pastel green or yellow. I will cross that bridge next week when it's time.

We got well over a foot of snow last night and are expecting even more tomorrow. Yes, it looks like we're in for a winter like last year. I am therefore going to start praying for the shovel leprechauns to appear. I hope all of you are well and I wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and/or Happy Hanukkah!

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
