Anelya's First Haircut

As many of you know, Anleya has been spending a great deal of time perfecting her walking skills. This has resulted in longer naps and a way bigger appetite. Yesterday we went to Baba and Hoovie's for about a half hour, then we went out to brunch. Anelya had eaten breakfast and a bottle that morning, but still managed to pack away a Yobaby yogurt, a big blueberry pancake, 4 oz of juice, and 1/3 cup of pureed berries and bananas. Incredible.

I am obsessed with her pigtail rockets.
I mean seriously, how cute is she?

Anelya loves her doggies.

Well, who knew an 11 month old would desperately need a haircut, but Anelya did! Her hair is so thick you could insulate a yurt with it, so I took her to my appointment with me today and had the back of her hair demulleted and her sideburns addressed. She is so stinking cute...

Anelya thought it was pretty funny that Mommy's head was in the tubby.

Angie trying very hard to cut her hair in between quick moves! She did an awesome job!

What is going on? Oh honey, we are just addressing your Elvis-like side burns.

I mean she is just the cutest kid ever.

My hair looks good too, huh? Wow. I don't think I even looked at it there! HAHAHA!

This is the story of how a single 30-something year old woman and a 6.5 month old angel from Kazakhstan found each other and became a family. A journey which started as a dream, became reality in August 2009 when two hearts found one home... together.
